Description
Dual Band ADS-B In
The ADSBee m1421 is a high performance low-power dual-band ADS-B receiver module. ADSBee m1421 receives 1090MHz Mode S (DF17 / ADS-B only) and 978MHz UAT (ADS-B downlink TIS-B / FIS-B uplink). Additional sub-GHz protocols are in the works and will be issued in future firmware updates.
ADSBee m1421 maintains an internal aircraft dictionary of up to 400 aircraft. Aircraft data and raw packets can be reported over CSBee, Mode S Beast, GDL90, MAVLINK1, MAVLINK2, and Aircraft JSON formats. Firmware updates are available via a built-in UART bootloader.
Multi-Use
Direct SPI control of the onboard LR2021 radio is available for customers that would like to utilize the 2.4GHz LR2021 radio for mesh radio or other applications (only available with Mode S disabled). Contact Pants for Birds engineering for support of these extended applications. At this time, m1421 carries no FCC certification for use as a transmitter module, so 2.4GHz out is for development purposes only.
Open Source
ADSBee m1421 is in a new product introduction phase. Schematics and firmware source code for the ADSBee m1421 will be available under an open source license after the start of serial production.
